Vendor Managed Inventory

The Haruthai vendor managed inventory (VMI) system allows our associates to accurately plan and control inventory stock levels at multiple customer locations based upon demand information received into our system electronically and in real-time.  This data will be translated into order and delivery quantities in our system, verified by Haruthai associates, and then sent out as a work order for fulfillment. 

Replenishment and shipping activities will be guided by mutually agreed upon objectives and rules for inventory levels, product shelf life, fill rates, and transaction costs.  Haruthai works closely with our customer’s personnel to establish and refine these variables to produce an efficient inventory plan. 

Over time, information visibility into the true nature of supply, actual demand and expected demand will be revealed through tracked data.  This will enable a range of benefits including: lower inventory carrying costs, improved forecasting and planning, lower transportation costs, lower manufacturing costs, and decreased wastage.
